Good first edition effort
By Carlos Rosado
First edition of the "current" has a couple of typos that are easy to catch if you use the textbook for review but may confuse some new readers. One incorrect entry in the treatment of atheroembolic disease. The interventional nephrology chapter could be dropped altogether. I used it to review for my nephrology re-certification and found it very useful. For residents and students a section on urine microscopy would be a welcomed addition. Looking forward to the new edition.

Good but mot as expected
By Marios Prikis
This nephrology book is very attractive and has a nice approach to a wide spectrum of kidney diseases. However, its disadvantages include lack of in deep pathophysiological explanations. I would generally recommend it for a quick review.

Almost complete
By Danilo Manno
Taking a look at another more complete text as "
Comprehensive Clinical Nephrology: 4e
by Jurgen Floge et al. (Hardcover)" but more expensive and too detalied, I can say that this text miss some fondamentals. Some one else has observed lack of chapters about anatomy and basic phisiology. I can add theese chapters I find hardstone for practice clinic: 1)urinary tract Infection 2) kidney stone disease 3)neoplasms of kidney and bladder 4) malformations and congenital obstructive syndrome due to malformations and acquired obstructive syndrome; 5)hereditary tubular disease 6) trauma, neurologic bladder and incontinance.
by expanding text don't think it will loose its usufulness ad manual text. I also hope authors will read our opinions and will manage in improving this text. Sorry for errors in texting. (I am italian)
