I knew nothing about nothing before this book. It is a great starting point. But if you're serious about it, it's only going to get you started.

Great as a school textbook otherwise forget it

This book is written by a couple of professors not technicians and it certainly shows. If you enjoy reading a college textbook this is for you. If you are looking for real-world tricks, tips, and insight you will not find it here. Why in the world is there a chapter devoted to motors? Why is there nothing about using ESR meters? I read the first 2 chapters then tossed it.
